Ronin Network has pushed the hard cutoff for its Waypoint keyless wallet migration to September 30, 2026, according to Web3Raider — roughly a two-week extension past the September 16 deadline set in the original Ronin Stash announcement. After that date, any unmigrated gaming tokens or soulbound NFT balances still parked on the deprecated keyless system become permanently inaccessible. The operational question for anyone who logged into Ronin games with email or social credentials is no longer if, but how many manual steps the official portal actually demands before the switchover.

The migration path: manual, not automatic

The portal routes users to one of two destinations: a freshly provisioned Ronin Stash address (Privy-backed keyless, email or social login) or an existing seedphrase wallet or RNS name. There is no sweep. Each holder must initiate the transfer and pay RON gas for the signature. That makes this a custody operation disguised as a UX upgrade — the keyless convenience of Waypoint is preserved in Stash, but the asset movement itself is on-chain friction every player absorbs individually.

For users who only touched classic Ronin Wallet with a seed phrase, the network says no migration of ordinary on-chain assets is required. Worth verifying, though: NFTs bought or listed while logged in through Waypoint sit on that keyless address until moved. The Waypoint dashboard is the only reliable way to confirm which login type was actually in use.

Soulbound inventory and dApp readiness

The real bottleneck is not token balances. A successful portal-side migration is a necessary but not sufficient condition for in-game recognition.

Verifying the migration before the window closes

The Ronin team's stated rationale — that maintaining legacy keyless infrastructure indefinitely raises cost and fragments the network — is structurally sound. It also transfers all execution risk to the user. Email reminders and push notifications promised in waves during the migration period should be treated as informational, not authoritative. The portal is the only source of truth for what still sits on Waypoint.

Given that tokenized inventory now sits alongside (and sometimes ahead of) the games themselves, the structural stakes of moving it correctly are high. For anyone whose in-game holdings carry real economic weight, September 30 functions as a hard terminal state. After it, "permanently inaccessible" means exactly that — not a recoverable marketplace dispute.
